I have been travelling
to Mamers for 40 years (!) but never has there been such a week.
First the Tour de France flew through rue du
Fort, the main artery through the town.
Then, the very next day was 14th July, the national day. So we had fireworks at the Plan d'eau. I tried to capture the excitement with my phone, but this was all I could grab.
And the cream on the cake was the French world cup win – anticipated, watched and celebrated in Place Carnot – the main market square of Mamers.
A little burst of the fireworks |
